Christ desires for us to be one with Him and with our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. In 1 Corinthians chapter 12, Paul expresses the need for us to be united as one.
For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. 13 For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body--Jews or Greeks, slaves or free--and all were made to drink of one Spirit. For the body does not consist of one member but of many. -1 Corinthians 12:12-14
We have all been made one through Christ therefore, we must coninue to edify and lift one another up - to bring glory to Him. We are all individuals but are all a part of one body.
